SNOW DAY

What Is It?

Snow Day, back in it’s 11th year, is a 26 hour Improv marathon aimed at bringing as many improvisors together as possible to raise money for worthy causes. A “homecoming” of sorts, Snow Day brings together improvisors who are back in town for the holidays and showcases their skills in non stop laughs. The mission of Snow Day is to raise money for organizations working towards finding a cure for cancer within the community, by donating the proceeds from ticket sales, merchandise sales, and raffle ticket sales directly to these causes.

History

In 2006, a group of improvisors hosted a special improv night where improvisors, home for the holidays, could reconnect with friends perform together. In 2009, Go Comedy! became the host of Snow Day. It’s success drove its founders to turn a fun night into a fundraiser for Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit and the Tim Hayden Scholarship Fund. Each year has brought more and more success, and raised thousands of dollars for organizations working towards a cure for cancer. Now in it’s 11th year, Snow Day is back with more improv, more laughs, and more ways to help.

Who We’re Helping

We are raising money for Diana George Jacokes Endowed Fund, Gilda’s Club Detroit and the Tim Hayden Memorial Scholarship Fund.
